Donate to the ReStore

Your donations are crucial to the success of Habitat for Humanity Wellington Dufferin Guelph.

We offer free pickup service for large donations ($100+ ReStore value).  To schedule this service for your donation, please complete the following form or email You can also drop off donations at one of our locations during our scheduled donation hours, found here.

    *tax receipts are available once per year for the total ReStore value of your donation(s) over the tax year. Total amount must be greater than $100.
  • You may upload a maximum of THREE photos and the file size of each photo must be under 8 MB (megabytes). Photos are accepted in one of the following formats: JPG, GIF, PNG or PDF. If your photos are not in this size and/or format, please send them directly to

Acceptable Donations

We will gladly accept the following home and building supply items:

Please note: all donations and materials must be in good, useable condition and ready to hit our sales floors – final approval is at the discretion of our ReStore team.

Kitchen & Bath:

  • Cabinets
  • Sinks
  • Toilets (with a tank size of 6 litres or less only)
  • Tubs (corner tubs and Jacuzzi tubs NOT accepted)
  • Vanity sets
  • Plumbing fixtures

Doors & Windows:

  • Double-pane, insulated casement, double-hung, slider, or awning style windows
  • Shutters
  • Exterior doors (wood, glass, steel, etc.)


  • Hardwood (unused, in packaging)
  • Laminate (unused, in packaging)
  • Stone, ceramic, porcelain, and vinyl tiles (unused, in packaging)


  • Circuit breakers and panels
  • Wire
  • Wire boxes, plates, and switches
  • Lighting fixtures, lamps, working lightbulbs

Building Supplies:

  • Hand and power tools
  • Lumber and plywood free of nails and screws (pieces that are warped, moldy, or have rot NOT accepted)
  • Trim, handrail, spindles, and stairs
  • Door knobs and locks with keys
  • Hinges, clasps, handles, pulls
  • Nails, screws, bolts, and other fasteners
  • Unused shingles and roofing paper
  • Vinyl siding in great condition
  • Soffit, fascia, eaves troughs and downspouts
  • Drywall sheets and tape
  • Cement board
  • Unused insulation (in unopened packaging or clear bags)

Furniture & Home Decor:

  • Wall art, frames, and framed mirrors
  • Outdoor and garden decor
  • Upholstered furniture as space permits (clean, contemporary, and free of damage)
  • Filing cabinets, dressers, end tables, and bookshelves

Please note: Mattresses, sofa beds, TV stands, entertainment units, and baby items (cribs, high chairs, etc.) NOT accepted under any circumstances.

  • Appliances not in working order for recycling (some restrictions apply)


  • All metal items

  • E-recycling (TV, stereos, VCRs, computer components, etc.)
