The Power of Collaboration

With the generous support of our partner, Mayhew Inc., Habitat WDG has moved to an open concept office just steps away from the Guelph ReStore. This move will allow for the Guelph ReStore to expand in size and operations, and the open concept will allow the Habitat team to work better together as we continue to build homes in the community.

“When I heard about the opportunity to support the move and build of the new space for Habitat WDG, Mayhew jumped in right away to come up with ways we could help,” explains Marcia Mayhew, CEO, Mayhew Inc. “Habitat means a lot to Mayhew because it is a charity looking to help families build strength, stability and independence through affordable homeownership within the community we do business.  Furthermore, Christine Mayhew, one of the co-founders of our firm, is closely affiliated with Habitat Global so there is a tight linkage there to the overall organization.”

Working with Mayhew has demonstrated the diverse ways that a corporation can give back to the community.

“From bringing other corporate partners on board, to negotiating with vendors to get pricing below cost, to providing our own design and installation services at cost, we harnessed the power of collaboration and kindness to give back to our community in meaningful and long-terms ways which is fantastic, and we couldn’t be more proud of the work we have done,” says Mayhew.
