DSC_5604_880x628The Rotary Club of Fergus-Elora is one ofseveral Rotary Clubs that have supported   Habitat for Humanity WDG from our beginnings, not only financially but also in volunteer hours and leadership. In fact, many Rotarians, including current member Colleen Roberts, have served on the Habitat for Humanity WDG Board of Directors. “I am privileged and humbled to be both a Rotarian and a Director with Habitat for Humanity Wellington Dufferin Guelph, guided by the mutual vision of service above self and a hand up not a hand out”remarks Roberts. The Rotary Club of Fergus-Elora in partnership with the Centre Wellington Rotary Club have participated in building homes for five deserving families within the community. The most recent Habitat build in Fergus, in 2012, received major financial contributions from these clubs as Sponsoring Partners. Rotarians Karen Welch and Russ Spicer contributed in a major way as co-chairs of the build.  Welch is also both a Rotarian and serving on the Habitat for Humanity WDG Board of Directors.
