Garth and Craig grew up in PEI where small town values for taking care of people was the most important part of the community. Wherever they went, they knew they would always strive to create an experience that made people around them feel like family.
In 2005, they relocated from PEI to Guelph as hardwood floor installers and quickly realized that a flooring store focused on 100% customer service and satisfaction while providing a great selection of the best materials would do well. Ten years later their dream is alive and well, growing from one unit at their current location in 2006 to over 3 times that today. They maintain the best selection of tile, hardwood and all other types of floor covering in Guelph, and have a staff with a combined 140+ years in the flooring industry. From the smallest accessory or cleaning supply to entire multi-million dollar new homes and commercial/industrial projects across our region, Garth and Craig, along with their dedicated staff believe that their success comes from doing what they love, and that is making your home or workplace somewhere you want to be.
Garth and Craig have extended their business acumen and success to helping others in the community. Since 2010 they have donated hardwood and other flooring products to the Habitat for Humanity ReStore. “We would hope that our donations of material will allow anyone to make even a small area of their home, whether a bathroom floor, entry way, or bedroom, in to an area that makes them happy”, remarks Garth.
So not only has Bigelow Flooring been a valued “in-kind” donor to support both the ReStore and our builds, but they have also now joined our exclusive group of Corporate Partners as a cash donor to support our Campaign to raise $2 million and build at least 25 more homes.
The team at Bigelow Flooring will continue to stay “connected” with the community by offering the best customer service to their customers but also proving their dedication to “taking care of people” through their philanthropic work within the community. “Habitat for Humanity WDG is very fortunate to rely on their support and partnership”, says Sharron Riley-Persson, Director at Habitat for Humanity WDG.
